Only a few days before the U/19 Heritage 7’s tournament kicks off at the Gene Louw Sports grounds in Moorreesburg.
The pride of Diazville High School’s rugby team, from which the 7’s team will be selected to play at the tournament.
Various school teams will compete, while clubs are also on board to compete for the prizes that are at stake. However, several schools have decided not to let their matric candidates play, due to the importance of the annual final exam.
Of course, it’s nice to win any competition, but it’s just as important that your school work comes first. It’s a decision of schools that we support at WCSS, and we praise them for entering a team.
Among the teams that have already signed up to participate are Majestics from Citrusdal, Schoonspruit and Wesbank schools from Malmesbury, Hamlets Juniors from Mamre, Steynville Secondary from Piketberg, Diazville High School from Saldanha and the 7’s Foundation Juniors from Wellington.
