MOVES TO MOORREESBURG
West Coast Sports Solutions NPC (WCSS) has taken the difficult decision to move its planned inaugural U/19 Rugby & Netball 7’s Tournament from Hopefield to Moorreesburg, due to financial challenges experienced during the planning of the event.
Unfortunately, despite efforts to secure the financial support required to host the tournament in Hopefield, the necessary funding has not been secured. WCSS has therefore decided that the best option is to move the tournament to Moorreesburg, where a similar tournament was successfully hosted in 2023.
The move does not mean the tournament has been cancelled.
WCSS is now looking at hosting the tournament towards the end of October 2026, with the final date and full tournament details to be announced once arrangements have been completed.

The final deadline for expressions of interest is Friday, 11 September 2026.
WCSS needs to establish the level of interest and confirm participating teams before finalising the new arrangements.
The organisation remains committed to its vision of using sport to create opportunities, discipline, development and hope for young people, particularly those from communities where opportunities are often limited.
The venue may have changed. The date may have changed. But the vision remains the same.
