The weather, however, played a role, as rain was forecast for that day. According to the chairman of the club, pastor Piet Smit, however, it was a foggy and cool morning, and an ideal for jogging or walking. “Although not many friends showed up, the few who were there thoroughly enjoyed it,” the chairman said.
The pastor went further, telling why there is such a gathering every month. “We usually start at the new Farm pad stall, and jog or walk 45 minutes to a certain point, from there and back”. “Everyone does their own pace, whether it is fast or slow, the goal is to enjoy a little togetherness only after the time”. “Old, young, fit or unfit, everyone is welcome to come and visit them those mornings … I usually give a few tips before everyone takes the road”. “Last Saturday morning I shared my own exercise program, which I have followed through the years,” he said.
